Scar corrections
After traumas, accidents and operations (e.g. caesarean section, appendectomy, etc.), disturbing, painful scars often remain.
A distinction is made between hypertrophic scars and keloids.
Hypertrophic scars can occur after operations and accidents and are usually characterised by the fact that they do not grow above the skin level.
A keloid is a benign proliferation caused by the excessive growth of connective tissue cells, which can occur after injuries (scar keloid), operations or also as a spontaneous keloid and is to be regarded as a disturbed healing process.
With the most modern therapeutic measures, scars can be treated both conservatively and surgically.
